Nita Aldridge Wiseman, age 70, of Grover Wiseman Road in Spruce Pine, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on July 10, 1956 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Cliff and Janet Ollis Aldridge.

Nita was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Gideons International Ladies Auxiliary. She was a lifelong nurse, serving in various capacities in Avery, Mitchell and Wilkes counties. Prior to her declining health, she enjoyed gardening and traveling especially to the beach and Montana.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband; Rickey Wiseman, her daughter; Shannon Killion and husband, Roger, her son; Joby Wiseman and wife, Cara, her brothers; Dr. Julius Aldridge and wife, Heidi and Kip Aldridge and wife, Amanda, her sister; Beth Heintzleman and husband, Scott, her grandchildren; Tyler Pitman and wife, Hailey, Parker and Colton Wiseman, Tomas Bolling, and Kelsey Wiseman, and one great grandchild; Annalise Pitman.

The funeral service for Nita Wiseman will be Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 6:30 pm at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Tyler Pitman and Dr. Darrin Waldroup officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 5:00 until 6:30 pm at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Graveside services and interment will be held privately for family Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Crossnore First Baptist Church Cemetery.
